Whey Protein

Whey Protein Myth

I have been receiving a lot of questions about how to meet your protein goals during the day

What I wanted to talk about was whey protein.  A lot of females are put off by supplementing their diets with whey protein in the fear that it will make them ‘bulky’ and pile on muscle.  THIS IS NOT TRUE!

Supplementing Your Diet

Whey protein has its place to support a healthy diet to assist you in meeting your protein goals, whilst your at work, out and about.

Its simple and easy to take with you, simply take a shaker with you, put your protein powder in along with water or milk and away you go!

I swear by it and it has significantly helped me and my clients in achieving lean muscle.  It’s cheap, its really nice tasting (there are a lot of nice flavours out there!) and it is going to help you get to your goal

Achieving your protein goals

For me, I aim to consume 2 x my body weight of protein in grams which sounds a lot but it really isn’t when you consider having a scoop of protein in my morning oats, some chicken for lunch and maybe fish/ chicken for evening meal.  plus for pudding, having greek yogurt along with a scoop of protein and some fruit.

This approach, easily gets me to my target protein consumption per day and it is food that I like to eat and often feel content throughout the day.

It is important that a high protein diet is implemented to support your weight loss journey as this aids muscle recovery which enables you to preserve as much muscle mass as possible whilst your body is looking at ways to find energy which will typically come from body fat stores.
